Vaddio will demo the RoboSHOT 30E-M PTZ and IntelliSHOT-M ePTZ in the Legrand | AV Booth 2201 at InfoComm 2023. The IntelliSHOT-M ePTZ and RoboSHOT 30E-M PTZ cameras offer integration with Microsoft Teams, and “unique customization settings including a 30x zoom.” Vaddio says the RoboSHOT 30E-M has advanced PTZ capabilities, making it perfect for rooms with multiple focus points, while the IntelliSHOT-M includes hands-free motion tracking.

The RoboSHOT 30E-M is designed for medium to large Microsoft Teams Rooms. Designed with a 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS sensor, RoboSHOT 30E-M delivers high-definition video image quality. Its signal processing results in 1080p/60 video even in dim lighting conditions. It features a 20x optical zoom with an additional 10x of IntelliZoom Image Processing that is capable of zooming in across large Microsoft Teams Rooms without compromising resolution. Because the camera’s AI processor compares patterns found in adjacent pixels and creates new pixels to match selected patterns, “it is able to eliminate any fuzziness, resulting in a more realistic, higher-quality picture.”

It also offers color adjustment options for a fine-tunable professional quality image in rooms with different levels of illumination and a wide dynamic range that can help correct for environments with uneven lighting. Integrators can further customize the experience by adding preset controls that allow for easy switching between multiple views of the user’s Microsoft Teams Room. In addition to the web-based user interface for remote camera control, the RoboSHOT 30E-M can be managed and updated using the Microsoft Teams admin center.

Vaddio IntelliSHOT

Vaddio’s IntelliSHOT-M professional camera, like the IntelliSHOT ePTZ camera, features 30x zoom with 70.2-degree field of view and is equipped with Vaddio’s advanced IntelliFrame auto-framing technology. Rather than rely on facial recognition alone, IntelliFrame uses a combination of sensitive motion detection and algorithms to deliver reliable participant framing. For integrators, IntelliFrame promises personalized video performance in any installation. With simple, custom features like one-touch masking, integrators can outline the camera’s field of view, so it doesn’t capture nearby, unintended participants, i.e., people in the front row, windows, busy hallways, projection screens, or displays in the front of the room.

IntelliSHOT-M also allows fine-tuning of the camera’s speed for following a presenter around a room and tightening the shot. The integrator can adjust the wait time before framing additional people up at a whiteboard, how often the auto-framer resizes the image, and limit how much zoom is allowed. Rather than use an on/off toggle, these options are available on a spectrum, so integrators can customize it for the installation. Or integrators can select one of the six preprogrammed configurations, such as “responsive lecture capture” and “default conference,” to make installation and configuration fast without compromising system performance.

Both cameras are PoE+ powered, and network connectivity allows IT administrators and tech staff to manage and control the camera remotely via Vaddio’s free, web-based user interface. They simply select the Vaddio cameras from the network, choose an action like rebooting the devices or conducting mass firmware updates on hundreds of devices all at once, saving time and labor for corporate or educational technology staff with hundreds of rooms to oversee.
