AI-based shade control emerges via new technology inside a product called Reaktor Power Distribution. Modern Atomics says one box can drive 22 shades inside a house or business in a small 1.75”x 8.5” footprint. The company says the setup includes an auto-programming feature and a copy-and-paste system. The PDU is powered via a passive POE injector or any Somfy 24V inline BUS power supply and, in turn, drives each of the shades via CAT 5 cable and RJ45. Thus, it’s compatible with Somfy motors, commonly used in Screen Innovations, Draper, BTX, Corradi, Sol-Lux, Spring Blinds, Clara, Alta, Universal Window Coverings, Peachtree, Graber and SunSetter.

Modern Atomics says it also works with Control4, Crestron Home, SIMPL, Elan, URC, RTI, Bond Bridge Pro and more. The company says it will list for $1,499 and includes a passive PoE injector, rack/shelf mounts and a 10-year warranty.
