MultiDyne Updates NanoBrix Series With Entry-Level 10G Ethernet Fiber Extender
MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems has expanded its NanoBrix Series of miniature converters with the new NB2-10G-TRX, an entry-level solution for extending 10G Ethernet signals over fiber-optic cable.
The NB2-10G-TRX is a compact 10GbE RJ-45 fiber extender featuring LC or ST connectors. A standard RJ45 connector delivers the 10G copper interface, while the SFP is installed on the opposite side to accommodate a variety of fiber configurations. Supported SFPs include standard 1310 nm, WDM 1270/1330 nm, all 18 CWDM wavelengths for single-mode fiber, and 850 nm for multimode fiber.
A PoE++ option, the NB2-10G-TRX-POE, includes a 56 VDC power supply that enables up to 90 watts of output over the RJ45 connection to power external devices.
