Planar Expands DirectLight Pro Series With High-Brightness and Low-Power MicroLED Options
Planar has upgraded its DirectLight Pro Series, introducing new MicroLED technology that boosts brightness and energy efficiency for indoor LED video wall applications. The enhanced series now includes two performance options:
- High-Brightness Model: Delivers 1,600 nits using just 135 watts, ideal for high-ambient light environments.
- Low-Power Model: Offers 500 nits with an ultra-efficient 68-watt power draw, providing a sustainable solution for energy-conscious deployments.
In addition to the DirectLight Pro updates, Planar also debuted a 0.9mm pixel pitch version of its S-shaped CarbonLight CLI Flex Series, enabling more creative and immersive video wall installations.
From its Leyard division, Planar is showcasing the VDS Series, a new line of indoor LED displays featuring Chip on Board (COB) technology with flip-chip LEDs. These displays are designed with a ruggedized surface treatment and full encapsulation, offering superior protection from scratches, collisions, static, water, and dust.
