Altimium Becomes Contributing Member of SDVoE Alliance
The SDVoE Alliance today announced that Altimium, a French-based supplier of AV extenders, scalers, cabling and infrastructure, has joined the alliance as a contributing member.
“Altimium has always been committed to delivering the highest quality products to our customers and the capabilities of SDVoE for zero-latency, artifact-free transmission of true 4K60 (4:4:4) video perfectly align with our philosophy,” said Thierry Eyssartier, managing director at Altimium. “We look forward to working with other alliance members as we lead the industry to signal distribution over Ethernet, with the performance we have all come to expect from the best matrix switches.”
“As a trusted AV supplier, Altimium is in a unique positioned to introduce SDVoE solutions to the French market,” said Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “They will be instrumental in helping to educate systems integrators and end users about the benefits of SDVoE technology and its role as the only standardized, interoperable approach to AV over IP.”
Altimium’s products will be on display at JTSE 2018 (Porte de la Chapelle, Paris, Nov. 27-28) on the Tesca stand 124.
All AV distribution and processing applications that demand zero-latency and uncompromised video can benefit from SDVoE technology, which provides an end-to-end hardware and software platform for AV extension, switching, processing and control through advanced chipset technology, common control APIs and interoperability. SDVoE network architectures are based on off-the-shelf Ethernet switches, thus offering substantial cost savings and greater system flexibility and scalability over traditional approaches, such as point-to-point extension and circuit-based AV matrix switching.
