Zoom Rooms Speaker Switching Adds Jabra PanaCast Compatibility

Jabra Panacast for Zoom Rooms Speaker Switching

Jabra announced today that Zoom Video Communications, Inc. selected the Jabra PanaCast as the video solution for its new telepresence capability, Zoom Rooms Speaker Switching.

Announced this week at Zoomtopia, Zoom’s user conference, the Zoom Rooms Speaker Switching is an added feature to Zoom Rooms. (Zoom Rooms equips every sized conference room with all of the tools needed to run or join video meetings with the tap of a button.) The telepresence feature takes the existing Zoom Rooms capabilities one step further to deliver a conferencing experience that is even closer to in-person meetings.

Zoom Rooms certify Jabra PanaCast as the first compatible camera that can deliver three individual video streams in a single product. The three different camera angles work in tandem with Zoom Rooms Speaker Switching. Using three microphones that detect which side is speaking, Zoom Rooms logic switches to the proper camera angle based on the microphone activity. If no one is speaking, the service automatically applies full preset mode, and all participants are captured clearly and displayed in their actual size.

Jabra PanaCast is the world’s first video collaboration device with three 13-megapixel cameras that work together as one via core technology embedded in the built-in Jabra PanaCast Vision Processor. The multi-camera array solution offers a 180-degree panoramic field of view.

Here it is.
