Hello everyone and welcome to the June edition of the Microsoft Copilot Roundup where I highlight a few updates to Copilot, Microsoft’s artificial intelligence assistant, that I consider to be most helpful to those in the AV industry. I will also include the full list of updates at the bottom of this article for your perusal.

Increased Copilot Availability

Starting off with some exciting news: Microsoft announced that Copilot can now be purchased as an add-on to the following plans:

• Microsoft 365 apps for business and enterprise
• Microsoft teams essentials, enterprise and EEA
• Exchange Kiosk, Plan 1 and Plan 2
• SharePoint Plan 1 and Plan 2
• OneDrive for Business Plan 1 and Plan 2
• Microsoft Planner Plan
• Microsoft Project Plan 3 and Plan 5
• Project online essentials
• Visio Plan 1 and Plan 2
• Microsoft Clipchamp

Ability to review Copilot adoption trends

Administrators can now review Copilot adoption trends within their organization with Viva Insight. The Copilot Adoption PBI template, available from analyst workbench in Viva Insights, shows data about how an organization is adopting Copilot, including dynamic data slicer, trendlines and top actions. Similarly, the Copilot Impact PBI template also allows administrators to look into Copilot’s impact on organizational behavior, showing data like dynamic data slicer, Copilot-assisted hours and value calculator, group comparisons and the ability to customize active usage definitions.

Copilot for sales plugin

Copilot is now able to intelligently surface data and insights from your organization’s Copilot for Sales knowledge base during customer meetings. Microsoft says his data being available to sellers has the potential to transform their efficiency and drive better meeting outcomes.

Expanded data structure support and comprehensive answers in Excel

Microsoft has announced that Copilot now has universal edit box access, allowing users to interact with Copilot from any grid area on any worksheet. Additionally, Copilot now offers step-by-step instructions with formula examples in Excel, my personal favorite update. Copilot can even correct your formulas and explain what went wrong. No more sifting through random YouTube videos to figure out the right formula!
