Merging Technologies Launches Pyramix 15 With Major Software Upgrades
Merging Technologies has released Pyramix 15, the latest update to its flagship digital audio workstation (DAW), featuring a revamped user experience, an upgraded mixer, and enhanced monitoring tools. Since joining the Sennheiser Group two years ago, Merging Technologies has introduced new hardware, including the Neumann MT48, Merging Hapi Mk III, and Dante options for Anubis and Hapi. Now, its software team has delivered a significant overhaul to Pyramix, incorporating new features for modern production workflows.

Pyramix 15 builds on its Dolby Atmos integration, real-time editing capabilities, and support for up to 384 low-latency I/O, adding:
- Complete UI/UX Redesign: A modern dark interface in line with current DAW trends.
- Revamped Mixer: A fully customizable layout, allowing users to move buses, strips, and aux channels.
- Clip-Based FX: Apply effects directly to individual clips for precise control.
- ARA2 Support: Seamless integration with ARA2 plugins.
- Upgraded Strip and Bus Tools: Support for up to 32 channels, a new UI, and one-click access to five preferred presets.
- Reengineered Merging VS3 Plugins: Optimized for enhanced performance.
- Side Chain Support: Available for VS3, VST3, and VST2 plugins in both MassCore and Native mode, including multichannel support with channel selection.
- Enhanced Monitoring Section: Features speaker group mute/solo options for multichannel workflows, ideal for Dolby Atmos production.
- New Final Check Tool: A redesigned interface with multichannel support.
- New Video Engine: Fully overhauled for improved performance and reliability.
- Additional Enhancements: Various improvements and bug fixes for a smoother, more stable user experience.
Expanded Compatibility and Availability
Pyramix 15 is available as a Native DAW (ASIO/Windows-based) and comes in three software packs: ELEMENTS, PRO, and PREMIUM. It can also run with the MassCore real-time engine, supporting up to 384 I/O at ultra-low latencies with RAVENNA/AES67/ST 2110 compatibility.
With these updates, Merging Technologies continues to refine Pyramix, offering powerful new tools for audio professionals working across music production, post-production, and immersive audio formats.
