Glensound Expands Lineup With Esports and Software-Based DSP Solutions
Glensound has introduced new software-based solutions compatible with open standards such as Dante, RAVENNA and Milan AVB, alongside updates to its existing product lineup.
The company’s new Beatrice R12 rack-mount intercom is designed for studios, smaller outside broadcasts, theaters and concert venues. The 12-channel system identifies sources and destinations through Dante, displaying them on-screen for simplified operation in live environments.
Glensound also updated its Inferno commentary box, which the company says is the most widely used in the industry, with more than 1,000 units in use across the U.S. Originally a Dante network device, the latest version now supports RAVENNA, adding AES67 and SMPTE ST2110-30 compliance. It also includes options for full remote control.
In addition, Glensound launched a Parliamentary Broadcast System (PBS), an integrated Dante solution designed for legislatures and debating chambers. Addressing the acoustic challenges of these environments, the system compensates for delays between microphones and loudspeakers to improve clarity. The platform also includes features such as card readers for member identification and electronic voting.
With esports continuing to grow as a focus for broadcasters and streamers, Glensound introduced the GTM Mobile, an extension of its GTM interface. The device features a USB-C connection for mobile gaming integration, providing data reliability while also charging the device. The GTM range is designed to deliver low-latency audio and video feeds, headphone outputs, and secure team talk circuits in a single unit.
