Lighthouse Design Studio Expands Into CEDIA Channel
Lighthouse Design Studio, a firm specializing in high-end outdoor lighting design, is expanding its services to the CEDIA channel, aiming to partner with custom integrators on luxury lighting projects.
The company says it will provide integrators with direct sales support, system design, product sourcing, and post-sale services, including installation supervision and management. Lighthouse frames its approach as a way for integrators to take on larger outdoor lighting projects with confidence, potentially increasing revenue and broadening their service offerings.
Since its founding in 2001, Lighthouse has completed more than 50,000 outdoor lighting installations. Led by Executive Director and Principal Lighting Designer Tim Ryan, the company has a team of designers across the U.S. with experience in landscape and architectural lighting. Lighthouse says it has won more than 35 awards from international professional organizations and has contributed to policies and technical standards for outdoor lighting through its work as board members and technical advisors for industry associations.
“As an independent design firm, Lighthouse Design Studio is unique in our approach,” Ryan said. “For the most part, outdoor lighting design in the channel is taking place by generalist design firms who focus on indoor lighting and dabble in outdoor, or lighting hardware manufacturers, whom while having excellent products, limit their design service to their own products.”
Ryan added that the company takes a comprehensive approach beyond design and product specification, partnering with integrators to help them establish outdoor lighting as a profit center. Lighthouse says it is product-agnostic and will work with any lighting brand that fits the needs of a given project.
The company recently joined the CEDIA Association as an Industry Related Professional member and plans to engage with integrators and their industry partners through trade shows, training events, and podcasts.
