Canon Launches CR-N400 and CR-N350 PTZ Cameras for Professional Production

Canon CR-N400 PTZ Camera
Canon U.S.A., Inc. has introduced the CR-N400 and CR-N350, two new pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras designed to deliver 4K 60p image quality, versatile connectivity and precise control for professional production environments. The company said the cameras are intended for studio, live event, house of worship, corporate and educational applications that demand flexibility and reliable performance.
Expanding Canon’s PTZ lineup, the CR-N400 and CR-N350 fill the gap between the CR-N300 and CR-N500 models, providing smooth on-air pan/tilt performance and advanced image capabilities. Both feature a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC DV7 image processor, supporting 20x optical zoom — extendable to 40x advanced zoom in Full HD — and Canon’s color science for natural image reproduction.
Each model also includes a vertical crop mode, enabling users to simultaneously output a 9:16 image for social media or vertical video workflows.
The CR-N400 is aimed at professional broadcasters who require a 4K SDI-based workflow. It includes 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI connectivity, along with Genlock and Timecode support, to enable integration into multi-camera studio or remote broadcast systems. The CR-N350 provides a more cost-effective option, delivering 4K output over HDMI and IP, or Full HD through its 3G-SDI terminal.
Both cameras support IP-based protocols such as NDI and SRT, allowing direct streaming and remote production control over standard networks. Canon said the CR-N400 and CR-N350 are suited for both live and recorded productions where smooth motion, color accuracy and streamlined operation are essential.
The CR-N400 and CR-N350 are expected to be available in late December 2025 at estimated retail prices of $5,699 and $3,999, respectively.
