ALBANY, NY – November 29, 2016 — WyreStorm, a leading provider of AV distribution and control solutions, will offer “the right technology for the application” at ISE 2017 with a different approach to corporate AV solutions that combines WyreStorm products within a single, all inclusive, competitively-priced kit for meeting room and huddle room environments that make things effortlessly simple for user and integrator.

WyreStorm’s huddle and meeting room concept was born out of the recognition that the majority of the more complex solutions on the market require significant configuration and are capable of far more functionality than the majority of customers will ever use.  Similarly, the leaner solutions available don’t quite offer enough.  Adrian Ickeringill, WyreStorm EMEA General Manager, explains why this is problematic for the customer:

Behind the simplicity of the system is a powerful and flexible platform that is highly customizable and fully compatible with related WyreStorm products should the project require expanded functionality.

The Meeting Room Pack itself is centered around the WyreStorm SW-0501-HDBT 5×1 HDBaseT presentation switcher featuring WyreStorm’s own ScreenLink™ screen sharing & collaboration software supporting both wired and wireless screen sharing from up to 26 Windows and Mac laptops/computers simultaneously.

The SW-0501-HDBT offers compact, high performance switching and auto scaling of 4x HDMI, 1x VGA sources to the display or projector up to 100m/328ft with HDBaseT or the mirrored HDMI output for local connection.  Included in the pack are a WyreStorm in-desk connection plate, 2m and 10m pre-made Cat6 cables for HDBaseT transmissions and a selection of high quality WyreStorm HDMI cables to cover all connections needed between sources, switcher and display.

Features of the SW-0501-HDBT include support for 1920x1200p @60Hz, microphone input with phantom power, stereo inputs and auto-mix stereo audio output, which make it ideal for the connection of laptops, Macs and computers, as well as media players such as Apple TV or media streaming devices, such as Google Chromecast.

In contrast to many meeting room solutions, the SW-0501-HDBT includes both the convenience of wireless network streaming for viewing spreadsheets and documents to the room as well as hardwired VGA and HDMI connections for fully uncompressed, zero-latency sharing – important with applications such as video conferencing, high quality video, interactive software demonstrations and trainings.

The ScreenLink collaboration software was designed to enable all users to start sharing screens in seconds regardless of technical expertise thanks to its simple three-step onscreen set-up.  Up to four computers can be displayed at the same time through a variety of configuration options; including single, dual and quad-view modes.

Audio quality is a feature often overlooked in meeting room solutions, and a characteristic that can lower the user experience.  Included in the WyreStorm system is the award-winning AMP-001-010 HDBaseT receiver with Class D digital audio amplification for connection to wall or ceiling speakers for improved audio capabilities within the meeting room, as well as avoid the lip-sync issues typically experienced when collaborating wirelessly.

In terms of control, a variety of options are available for the SW-0501-HDBT, including front panel, built-in Web User Interface (UI) and CEC support for on/off commands for screens and projectors.  RS-232 inputs on the SW-0501-HDBT connect to the pre-programmed WyreStorm touch screen keypad with the 10m cable included in the Meeting Room Kit for simple, no-nonsense in-room control of the presentation switcher.

But meeting room control is more than just device connectivity. It’s about options and flexibility of what can be controlled.

The SW-0501-HDBT features IP and RS-232 to manage and control the switcher or external devices, with WyreStorm’s award-winning Enado™ browser-based control system and a wireless router both included in the Meeting Room Kit.

Enado enables the integrator to provide powerful, hardware and intuitive cross-platform control software that works seamlessly with any operating system or internet browser on literally any web-enabled user device. Mac OS to Windows, to Android, to iOS – Enado just works.

The simplicity of Enado enables true BYOD connectivity, with the customer able to add their own personal control devices themselves, such as smartphones, tablets or laptops, using simple in-room QR code scanning or clicking an email or web link.  The result is one-touch system control of not only sources, projector and presentation switcher, but also audio settings, room lighting, blinds and room temperature to make sure precious meeting time is not wasted configuring the room.
