We’ve been fans of the WiSA technology for just about a year now — in fact, we think it’s the best wireless audio technology out there and that it should easily become the standard in HomeAV by 2015. Sharp, Klipsch, Pioneer, Aperion and a handful of other manufacturers have already adopted the WiSA standard.

What is WiSA? Well, the WiSA (Wireless Speaker & Audio) Association is an industry group dedicated to promoting the adoption of WiSA-enabled compliant products worldwide by fostering interoperability compliance testing between CE devices and high-performance wireless speakers.

At CEDIA Expo, the association will have a Sound Room where you’ll hear nothing but wireless audio, including not only soundbars but also 7.1 surround systems that are 100 percent wireless. It’s Sound Room #6. Please make time to go as we believe this WILL become the wireless standard in HomeAV.
