Sonus faber announced its latest collaboration with Lamborghini on the automotive brand’s latest vehicle, Temerario, to equip it with an exclusive High Premium Sound System.

Unveiled during Monterey Car Week, the new Temerario is designed to offer “top-level performance and comfort,” equipped with a 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain offering several upgrades in comparison to its predecessor, the Huracán.

“The Lamborghini Temerario represents the second and incredibly important milestone for Sonus faber, further enhancing the collaboration between these two historic Italian luxury brands. Sonus faber is thrilled to bring their unique element d state-of-the-art natural sound to this new, superlative vehicle,” said Fiore Cappelletto, vice president and general manager automotive at McIntosh Group. “Thanks to the combined efforts of the Design and R&D team headed by Livio Cucuzza, Chief Design Officer at Sonus faber, and Lamborghini’s team, our continued partnership transcends the ordinary, presenting not just an audio system but a symphony of sound and design that embodies the elegance of Italian aesthetics. Sonus faber is a company that, in addition to creating true works of art for the finest living rooms in the world, collaborates with the most prestigious luxury brands to integrate high-fidelity and Natural Sound into new realms – and the Temerario is no exception.”

The Sound System

The system features seven speakers in total, with one tweeter and one mid-woofer in each door, one full-range in the dashboard as center channel and two integrated full-range speakers with surround function, which are positioned right behind pilot and co-pilot. The bandwidth goes from 30Hz, capturing a drum hit, to 30,000Hz, which is near maximum audio frequency for the human ear. Placing the neodymium engine strategically in the middle of the unit, the reversed structure enhances the sound clarity and functions as a phase plug, while the thinness of the unit optimizes space utilization.

The system is completed with a Full Class D amplifier delivering up to 750 Watts of power, which, in combination with a its DSP, ensures “smooth transitions between electrical signals and acoustical tones.”
