Russound Debuts New 16-Channel Whole Home Digital Audio Amp
Russound is now shipping the D1675 16-channel Digital Amplifier. The 16-channel D1675 is 2RU high and delivers 75 watts per channel. Other models include the eight-channel D890 and the 12-channel D1290 (now available), both 1RU in height.
The D-Series amplifiers include new audio filter options that allow installers to tailor sound output for specific applications. The D-Series models offer three filter modes: Full Range Sound for a typical 20Hz to 20kHz range, Low Pass Filter for supporting subwoofers with low-frequency audio, and High Pass Filter to focus on higher frequencies..
Each channel on the D-Series amplifiers can be assigned one of three input options — two bus inputs or a dedicated zone input — providing flexibility in system design. This allows installers to power multiple zones of audio from a single chassis.
