MXL to Debut USB-Based Personal Audio Conferencing at InfoComm
Although NOT a substitute for anything like a Polycom system, MXL’s new system, dubbed the AC-406, is what MXL is calling a unique USB-based desktop communicator that is particularly helpful to telecommuters who rely on over-the-Internet conferencing services like Skype and iChat. Features include a three-capsule boundary design with 180-degree coverage and a 16-bit Delta Sigma A/D converter. The AC-406 also includes two 1/8” audio jacks, one for stereo headphones for private conversations and the other for daisy chaining multiple microphones for group discussions. A mute switch is also included with an LED indicator that indicates when the mic is muted.
