ISE 2024 has come and gone, and we definitely left a mark on the show with our coverage this year (over 2,000 product videos — crazy). But now that the show is over, ISE released a report reviewing many of its figures. This piece wraps up a few of those highlights.
First of all, ISE had 73,891 verified attendees from 162 countries, which is major. The last time rAVe recorded attendance this high was in 2019 (81,268 attendees). The show’s exhibition floor boasted the highest number of exhibitors to date at 1,408, according to the organization, and the show floor space spanned 82,000 square meters.
Attendance:
This was a major year for first-time attendees. As you can see above, 24,815 people (33.6%) visited ISE for the first time, with 46.92% of first-time visitors from Spain.
Other attendance facts:
- ISE said the total number of visits across the four days reached 172,627, with attendees spending an average of 2.2 days at the show.
- The organization also said daily visits on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday all achieved record numbers for those respective days at any edition of the show.
- Attendees spanned a wide range of job titles, with CEOs, C-suite executives, and directors making up over 36%.
- Four out of five attendees reported that they either made the final purchasing decision, influenced the decision, or made recommendations for it.
- ISE said that the gender diversity of attendees continued to increase, with 16.6% identifying as female and 1.9% as non-binary or preferring not to specify.
Global Representation:
Attendees from 162 countries were represented at ISE 2024, with “significant increases seen in attendees from AV market territories such as Germany, Belgium, Poland and China,” according to the organization. Over 90% of total attendance came from the top 30 countries represented at the event. The chart above lists the top 10 countries and their percentages.
AV Industry Vertical Breakdown
As you can see in the chart above, 30% of attendees at ISE 2024 stated themselves as end users, and almost 60% of these were first-time attendees. End users were primarily focused on sectors such as auditoriums/theaters/entertainment venues, audio/video production rooms for broadcast, corporate offices/collaboration spaces, classrooms or learning spaces, and stadiums or sports arenas.
AV channel attendees (70% of all ISE 2024 attendees, 43% of them first-time attendees) were heavily involved in AV integration/installation, distribution/reselling, IT integration/installation, AV manufacturing, rental/staging/live events/meeting planning.
Also, 69% of all attendees were from the commercial sector, with over 14% involved in both commercial and residential. Over 16% reported their market as solely residential.
ISE 2025
The organization says ISE 2025 is shaping up to be even larger than ISE 2024, with over 10% increase in current exhibitors re-booking booths compared to the previous year. The organization has, in turn, expanded availability by opening up Hall 8.1, enhancing opportunities for showcasing innovation and engagement. Space is still available, and the booking process opened up to exhibitors on March 1, 2024.
