DSA Announces Call for Entries for Crown Awards

The Digital Screenmedia Association is now accepting entries for the DSA Crown Awards, recognizing the impact of excellent content in out-of-home environments through the use of digital signage, self-service kiosks, and/or mobile technology.

DSA welcomes entries from all interested companies — members and non-members alike. The cost to enter is $195 per entry for DSA Members and $225 per entry for non-members. The categories for entry are as follows:

Point of Sale (shoppers); Examples:

  • Bars (music sales)
  • Quick-service restaurant (QSR) menu boards
  • Restaurant promotional boards
  • Retail

Point of Transit (people on the go); Examples:

  • Airports
  • Bus stations
  • Digital billboards
  • Sidewalk
  • Subway stations
  • Train stations

Point of Wait (dwell time); Examples

  • Bars
  • Casual dining (waiting for a table)
  • Enterprise operations
  • Healthcare
  • Hospitality
  • In taxis, subways, trains, buses
  • Internal communications
  • Office buildings
  • Quick-service restaurant (QSR) dining area
  • Waiting in line (retail, banking, etc.)

Within each of the three categories above, there are also winners for those with installs that cost less than $10,000 USD or more than $10,000 USD. The deadline to enter is Sept. 17, 2012.
