D.A.S. AUDIO LAUNCHES THE ALTEA SERIES
Valencia, Spain- D.A.S. Audio launches the new Altea Series of portable speakers, designed and built to offer musicians, DJs and performers great sounding systems that combine the latest in pro-audio engineering with great looks and an extraordinary set of user-friendly features. Light-weight and easy to carry, the Altea Series incorporates a configurable onboard DSP and cutting-edge amplification, delivering an exceptional user experience for sound providers the world over.
Two models are available in both active and passive versions-the Altea Pro and the Altea. The Altea Pro is a high output version of the Altea offering greater power handling, more amplifier power and higher SPL. The Altea 15A Pro is a powered portable P.A. system with a multi-angle polypropylene enclosure that permits stage monitor applications. The 1500 Wpeak Class D two-channel amplifier provides extended bandwidth, wide dynamic range and exceptionally low distortion-features. Digital Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters are used in the signal processing of the Altea 15A Pro system. User configurable voicing, EQ modes, delay and gain control are achieved by way of a rotary-knob interface and LCD screen on the rear of the cabinet. The Altea 15A Pro also allows users to wirelessly stream music from mobiles devices.
For deep, powerful bass, the Altea 15A Pro uses the 15FV4 loudspeaker. High frequencies are handled by the M-28 FEM optimized compression driver with 1″ exit offering excellent performance. The Altea 15 Pro is the passive version designed for use with external amplification.
Similar in design is the Altea 15A. This powered portable P.A. system shares the enclosure structure of the Altea 15A Pro. The Class D two channel amplifier provides total of 800 Wpeak power and quality features hard to find on other systems in this market segment such as a wide dynamic range and exceptionally low distortion. User configurable voicing, filter and EQ modes, and gain control are achieved by way of a rotary-knob interface and LCD screen on the rear of the cabinet.
The quality speaker components include a single 15MI4 loudspeaker for impressive bass response. High frequencies are handled by the M-32 compression driver with 1″ exit offering exceptional performance. The Altea 15 is the passive version designed for use with external amplification.
