Crestron Ships Wall-plate Tx/Rx for 4K HDMI
Crestron is shipping a new 4K wall plate transmitter (DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G) and receiver (DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G) pair integrated with built-in serial and IR ports control. Both are direct replacements for the DM-TX1-C-1G and DM-RX1-C-1G and are HDBaseT compliant.
Available in black or white single-gang, decors-style plates, Crestron says they are low-cost 4K transmitters that can be powered using the included wall mount power pack, or via PoDM (Power over DigitalMedia). The DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G and DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G can be mounted in the wall or in 4-inch deep floor boxes.
A single cable connects either device to a DM switcher, transmitting or receiving video, audio, control, networking and power signals all through one category cable. A single HDMI input (DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G) or output (DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G) port is spec’d to support video at resolutions up to 4K (4096×2160). Crestron specs color-sampling compatibility up to 4:4:4 at 24-bit @30Hz and 4:2:0 at 24-bit color @60Hz.
The DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G and DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G include built-in serial and IR control ports to allow programmable control of the connected display. They also support CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) as an alternative to conventional control methods.
