RM Series IFPs Foster Collaboration and Enhanced Learning With Smart Eye-Care™ Benefits, Cloud Capabilities, Smooth Annotation and Wireless Broadcast

COSTA MESA, Calif. — March 12, 2020 — BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display and collaboration solutions, has expanded its lineup of award-winning interactive flat panels (IFPs) with the launch of new models in its RM Series. Available in 55″, 65″, and 75″ versions, the RM UHD IFPs are designed to tap into the dynamic possibilities of the classroom and help teachers build a healthy and engaging learning environment. The new models leverage BenQ’s Smart Eye-Care™ features to help protect users’ eyes and with intuitive, user-friendly cloud whiteboard capabilities that take knowledge beyond the classroom.

“IFPs are proving to be a great way to break learning barriers and meet educational goals,” said Carly Burton-Sallay, digital marketing manager at BenQ America Corp. “Our new RM models provide schools with the enhanced interactive learning features they need for a smooth and fun experience at a competitive price point that makes it possible for schools to carry out district-wide deployments immediately. Educators can get started right away while students can enjoy learning concepts in a whole new, engaging way.”

Reach Every Student Through the Cloud
The new BenQ RM02K Series creates new pathways of learning with built-in cloud features. To deliver the best cloud collaborative experience, the IFPs utilize BenQ’s EZWrite 5 platform. EZWrite 5 streamlines classroom discussions by making it more intuitive than ever for teachers and students to share ideas, notes, and opinions via cloud whiteboarding, whether they are in the classroom or joining remotely. It also allows teachers to directly download and upload files to cloud services, such as Google Drive and Dropbox. Exclusive to this new model, this convenient cloud platform makes it easy for teachers to access and modify materials and bring them from board to board. This feature is handled by the IFP’s Account Management System (AMS). Teachers can access teaching materials stored in cloud storage and start the class directly from BenQ IFPs — all without the hassle of connecting a laptop, tablet or USB device to find and share lessons.

Enjoy Intuitive, Fun Collaboration and Operation
Packed with teacher- and student-friendly features, BenQ’s EZWrite 5 is the leading annotation solution for interactive and collaborative classroom scenarios. Teachers and students can enjoy enhanced interactivity by using EZWrite Cloud Whiteboard to collect, categorize, edit, and share notes between the IFP and mobile devices. For annotation and more, the Floating Tool allows users to write and capture screenshots on the screen, including content from apps, websites, and videos and paste it back to the EZWrite whiteboard. Each model is integrated with Saffi voice assistant technology powered by AWS, allowing teachers to easily control and access display capabilities through voice commands. Through InstaShare, the IFPs enable teachers to wirelessly cast and mirror visual, audio files, and full HD quality videos from any PC or mobile.

Write Naturally With Fine IR Sensor
BenQ’s new education IFPs fine-tune the handwriting experience with an advanced fine IR touch that reduces the gap between the actual landing point and the point displayed on the screen as well as a new touch frame that recognizes a smaller radius for more natural handwriting. Adding to this experience, EZWrite’s handwriting recognition and object recognition feature instantly converts the handwritten text, numbers, forms, and drawings into easily legible digital text or shapes. Two students can write or draw simultaneously on the screen in different colors using the dual pen mode, making it ideal for lively classroom activities. Students can also use real paintbrushes on the surface for a new way to create and enjoy art.

Encourages Healthy Screen Use
Not only do the IFPs boost fun and engagement in the classroom, they also help curb the health risks associated with prolonged screen exposure. BenQ’s Smart Eye-Care technology is certified to remove the blue light, flicker, and glare that can cause eye strain and CVS-related eye problems. It operates automatically using an embedded motion sensor that detects the movement of users close to the screen.

Integrate School Announcements With X-Sign Broadcast
BenQ RM Series IFPs also feature BenQ’s X-Sign Broadcast, a wireless broadcast system that can push instant and scheduled alerts, messages and announcements during class. Unlike traditional classroom messaging systems, X-Sign Broadcast ensures immediate message delivery as well as group notification. With its grouping function, it can send messages to a selected group of screens, a single classroom, or the whole school. The grouping function helps ensure information is only sent to the recipients for whom it’s intended, while also reducing the time and labor required to send messages to multiple people.

Quick, Hassle-Free Management With Device Management System
For IT and AV managers, each model is bundled with a cloud-based management system from BenQ. DMS, BenQ’s Device Management System, enables IT managers to access all device information, apps, and over-the-air updates for all BenQ boards, making management to all BenQ boards a breeze.
