Barco Residential Debuts Nerthus Projector at CEDIA Expo 2023
Barco Residential is at CEDIA 2023 with the debut of Nerthus, the flagship projector in their Series 4 projector line-up.
Barco says that Nerthus, named after the deity associated with prosperity and peace, is poised to “redefine” the home theater experience. With 32,000 lumens and enhanced contrast, the projector covers 100% of the REC.2020 color gamut. Equipped with native 4K DLP Cinema chips from Texas Instruments and the Barco Alchemy ICMP-X (Integrated Cinema Media Processor), Barco says Nerthus should be used for an immersive cinematic experience. The company also claims it offers versatility through a wide range of lenses, ensuring flexible installation options. Users can enjoy both DCI-encrypted content and their favorite 4K HDR consumer content via HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2.
Barco says Nerthus supports up to 70% lens shift and offers installation flexibility for DCI projection. Nerthus Architectural increases this flexibility, allowing vertical mounting of the projector. Nerthus uses the latest VHC (very high contrast) lens options to offer 1,000:1 ANSI contrast and an ON/OFF contrast of 5000:1.
