avi-spl-0512ORLANDO, Fla., June 11, 2013 — AVI-SPL, the world’s leading video communications provider, announced today it has expanded its AV Monitoring service capability by integrating AV monitoring into the company’s patent pending VNOC Symphony® platform.

AVI-SPL’s AV Monitoring capability is designed to capture critical information from SNMP-compliant devices and vendor monitoring tools throughout a customer’s network. From projectors to digital signage devices, Symphony gathers information, automatically opens trouble tickets and engages the support team to resolve any issues.

AVI-SPL’s 24×7 live coverage means that no matter when the ticket is opened, someone will be there to initiate action and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

The completion of the Symphony AV monitoring capability is a key part of AVI-SPL’s Unify ME™ managed services offerings, which blend support for all aspects of the meeting environment under one team. AVI-SPL has Network Operation Centers (NOC) in Ohio, Pennsylvania and the U.K., all using the same platform, ticketing system and phone system to support customers around the world.

“We felt it was important to go beyond what we were already doing with manufacturer-based AV monitoring tools by leveraging our Symphony platform,” said Tim Riek, senior vice president of service operations, AVI-SPL. “Combined with our recently announced Communicator Proxy, AVI-SPL extends its considerable advantage over competitors who are limited in resources and tools to adequately support the growing diversity of products deployed at customer locations.”

Stop by AVI-SPL’s booth (2381) at InfoComm in Orlando, Florida June 12-14 to see live demonstrations of AVI-SPL’s AV monitoring solution in action.
