VITEC Hosts First Annual VITEC Government Expo

vitec conferenceATLANTA — Nov. 6, 2019 — VITEC, a worldwide leader in advanced video encoding and streaming solutions, today announced its first VITEC Government Expo (VGX), being held Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. At the event, VITEC will demonstrate its EZ TV IPTV & Digital Signage Platform, Media Library, and HEVC portable and openGear (OG) encoder and decoder appliances.

“Government and security organizations demand effective video streams in their facilities and command centers,” said Dan Quinn, Federal Sales Director, VITEC. “In such a high-stakes environment, these agencies can’t afford poor latency or video quality to impact critical decisions. Our family of end-to-end IP video streaming and digital signage solutions are designed to provide actionable, reliable, and secure information transmission. VGX is part of our commitment to give our customers an up-close experience with our solutions, gather information, and ask questions.”

At VGX, new enhancements to the EZ TV platform will be highlighted, including an integrated solution for delivering IPTV content to desktop users and TAA-compliant endpoints, as well as an emergency channel feature that allows emergency alerts to be quickly pushed to desktop players and TVs within the network. These features build on the extensive capabilities available within the end-to-end solution designed for secure dissemination and content management of full-motion video streams and offline files to desktops, TVs, and mobile devices. Additionally, attendees can see the EZ TV Media Library solution, which enables users to tag, organize, edit, store, and share video content. The Media Library’s user-friendly HTML5 interface is accessible from any browser on the network.

VITEC’s broad portfolio of HEVC portable and openGear encoder and decoder appliances will also be on display. The lineup’s new multichannel encoding and decoding solutions will be available, including the MGW Diamond OG that is designed for compatibility with openGear chassis and ideal for government workflows. Also demonstrated at the event will be the Joint Interoperability Test Command certified HEVC encoders, which are perfectly suited for applications with stringent size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements.
