Tributaries Announces HDMI Distribution Amp
Tributaries Cable announced the Model HDA140, a one-in/four-out HDMI distribution amplifier that allows a single source to supply video and digital audio, simultaneously, to as many as four rooms, zones, systems, or screens, from a distance of 30 meters/100 feet, according to the company.
The HDA140 is marketed as fully HDMI 1.3 and HDCP compliant, and 1440p resolution, Deep Color 10/12/16-bit signal-formatting, xvYCC Color Space, and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master audio systems. It also supports refresh-rates up to 120 HZ.
Tributaries says the HDA140 permits a single HDMI output, such as that of an AV receiver, a satellite or digital-cable set-top box, or DVD/Blu-ray disc player, to supply multiple screens or even satellite AV-surround systems throughout the home and a second one can be cascaded to expand the distribution. It’s not Extron-quality, but if it works, it’s priced well.
This is shipping now with MSRP of $450.
