Cerberus Tech introduced gateway agent functionality within its Livelink cloud-native provisioning, orchestration and automation platform for live video processing and transport. This extends real-time visibility and control to edge encoding, decoding and transmission devices, bridging the gap between cloud-based orchestration and on-premises operations to enable comprehensive control and monitoring from a single pane of glass.

Available as both a self-service and managed service model, Livelink offers a protocol-agnostic, multicloud-compatible infrastructure with low-latency content delivery. It supports occasional-use and 24/7 distributions while simplifying IP workflows. Whether installed directly onto a device or used to communicate with hardware- or software-based systems, the new gateway agent allows secure remote management of on-premises systems. Through integration with existing workflows, the gateway agent enables device control via Livelink’s web-based UI, streamlining tasks such as configuring devices, adjusting bit rates, and retrieving logs.

Security is embedded at every level, featuring encrypted JWT-secured API interactions, strict credential management, and a customizable firewall model that allows users to define IP whitelists and restrict access. The gateway agent does not store sensitive data—authentication keys and configurations are transmitted securely only when the device is active, and compromised devices can be disabled instantly.
