Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America has launched the XP-E501U, the first model in its new E Series line of LCD laser projectors. The projector is aimed at education environments and other small to medium-sized rooms that require a bright, low-maintenance display solution without the constraints of lamp-based systems.

The XP-E501U delivers 5,000 lumens of brightness to maintain image clarity in both dim and well-lit spaces. Designed for classroom use, the projector includes a 16-watt speaker and dual HDMI inputs to support multiple source devices. It also integrates with the company’s NaViSet Administrator 2 software, allowing IT teams to control, monitor and manage projector settings across a network.

“The E Series projector provides end users – especially in education settings – with an upgraded solution for both the operator and viewer,” said Ryan Pitterle, senior product manager, Sharp Display Solutions. “This projector was designed to be straightforward to use, which saves teachers time in the classroom so that they can focus on their lessons and presentations, and less on whether the technology is working properly.”

The projector’s laser light source supports long-term operation with minimal maintenance and is paired with an energy-saving ECO Mode that automatically powers down when not in use and turns on when a signal is detected. Its plug-and-play operation is intended to reduce setup time and simplify daily use.

Sharp backs the E Series with a five-year or 20,000-hour parts and labor limited warranty, whichever comes first. Additional product details are available on the company’s website.
