Rants & rAVes — Episode 1187: PPDS (Philips Digital Signage) has a Globally Based North American Strategy! Huh? Watch!
PPDS is the technical name for what is commonly referred to (by us industry insiders) as Philips Digital Signage. And, for the last six years, the company has been building a global strategy for becoming a top-three display company; the plan was accelerated last month with the appointment of 20+ year industry veteran Nick Begleries to the role of commercial market VP. He joined Gary, along with Bruce Wyrwitzke, director, professional displays, to talk about the state of the plan and how they see Philips differentiating itself here in North America. Oh, and both these guys have something in common with the cast of the movie “The Goonies,” too. So, watch!
