QSC Adds Surface-Mount Loudspeaker Without a Transformer to AcousticDesign Series

Earlier today, QSC launched a transformer-less surface-mount speaker in the form of the AD-S6, a 6.5-inch two-way loudspeaker. As part of the AcousticDesign Series, this new loudspeaker is designed for foreground and background music (BGM/FGM) applications, as well as installations specifically requiring higher SPL foreground sound reinforcement.

With a 105° conical DMT coverage and integrated with a maximum peak SPL 116 dB (16 Ω), the AD-S6 includes QSC’s Directivity Matched Transition which they say ensures smooth, uniform frequency response over the coverage area. Using their X-Mount mourning system enables the loudspeaker to be installed and deployed at a variety of angles with a claim of no slippage over time and it includes a sealed input panel cover and powder coated aluminum grilles for added weather resistance (meets IEC60529 IP-54 for dust and splash resistance).

Available in black or white, QSC will showcase the AD-S6 at its demo room (W224B) at InfoComm 2019 and you can see them here.
