Pepperdine Uses Canon PTZ Cameras for Sports Streaming
Streaming in college sports is a must — it allows for fans, friends and families to tune in from wherever and whenever. When Pepperdine decided to upgrade how they were streaming games, the university brought in Game-On Entertainment to provide the highest level broadcast, and incorporated the Canon CR-X300 4K outdoor PTZ. With Canon, they were able to:
- Have the flexibility of capturing various camera angles from locations an operator normally couldn’t
- Control the PTZ camera from a wide distance during swim meets
- Use the camera at center field over the pitcher’s shoulder during baseball games
- Overcome the challenge of catching normally missing angles at soccer games
- Have a camera operator working remotely controlling the camera
