Aurora, Illinois, May 1, 2024 — Palmer Digital Group, a full-service supplier and installer of  indoor and outdoor digital kiosks, drive-thru digital menu boards and canopy systems, returns to the National Restaurant Association Show this month with a clear message for QSRs: It’s time to take your ordering process digital, and we have the technology and services to make it happen.

That message will be confirmed upon entering Booth 5851, where visitors will find several of Palmer Digital Group’s most popular outdoor and indoor digital QSR solutions on display. The lively demonstration includes three drive-thru digital menu boards (single, double and triple panel) to help QSRs visualize the benefits of leaving static boards behind. Palmer Digital Group (PDG) will also showcase a new indoor self-ordering kiosk that defines one of two key QSR trends visible on the stand  the second of which is the integration of AI into the customer ordering process.

“We have increased our booth size by 50% this year so that QSR and fast casual restaurants of all sizes know that there is a digital ordering solution to meet their business requirements and budgets,” said Chuck Lewis, Vice President, Palmer Digital Group. “The National Restaurant Show hosts hundreds of QSR chains each year, and visitors to our booth will learn that we not only manufacture digital menu boards and kiosks  we make a variety of structures to support and protect their investments, and have a skilled in-house team that can install everything we make.”

PDG will demonstrate its new indoor back-to-back self-order kiosk for dynamic menu presentation and self-ordering inside QSR and fast casual restaurants. The kiosk comes equipped with an access door for media player storage and anti-slip rubber feet for leveling, with options for cameras and card readers to accommodate a complete customer journey from ordering to payment. PDG will also offer insight into the various installation options for their indoor self-order kiosks, including floor-mounted, wall-mounted, counter-mounted and back-to-back pole-mounted options.

While digital menu boards currently count for 75% of PDG sales, Lewis says that touch kiosks represent the fastest-growing area of PDG’s business. “We have experienced a major uptick in both outdoor and indoor touch kiosks,” said Lewis. “Outdoor kiosks are more popular for wayfinding in large retail centers. Our QSR customers are increasingly turning to indoor kiosks to supplement counter service, accelerate order times, and help customers quickly locate their favorite food and beverage items.”

PDG will highlight recent QSR business wins on the digital menu board side, displaying dynamic menus from customers including Buona Beef and Portillo’s on their single, double, and triple panel solutions. PDG will also show how their digital menu board designs make room for custom enclosures that house key audio, video and networking technologies to better support the ordering experience.

“This will be the first year that we show our custom audio enclosure, which can be bolted to the side of our digital menu boards,” said Lewis, who adds that PDG also manufacturers a standalone speaker-microphone box. “These enclosures are built in all the technology for traditional ordering as well as Voice AI applications. For the latter, we add a camera enclosure with swivel to track customers as they order, and a special electronic component enclosure to reliably process Voice AI orders.”

Lewis adds that all PDG digital menu boards and kiosks are available with custom colors and printed graphics to support each QSR brand’s colors and logos. “PDG will never be the company with the one-size-fits-all, off-the-shelf solution,” he concluded. “The National Restaurant Show gives us a unique opportunity to showcase all of our QSR products to a diverse cross-section of QSR customers.”
