Extron has introduced the SSI 100 System Status Indicator, a multi-colored backlit device designed to display room occupancy, activity status, safety protocols and other information.

The SSI 100 integrates with Extron control systems, calendar platforms and room occupancy sensors without the need for licensing. It features a two-sided acrylic lens with multi-color backlighting and is available in wall-mount and ceiling-mount versions. An optional engraved lens allows customization with room names, classroom numbers or company logos.

The SSI 100 can be powered locally or through a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable. When integrated with Extron Pro Series controllers, it operates in Secure Platform Device (SPD) mode and can be configured using Extron GCP or CSDU software.

For users of Extron Room Scheduling and Wayfinding systems, the SSI 100 can display room names and availability status—such as green for available and red for occupied—through direct calendar server communication using Room Agent software.
