Extron Adds Four New Products to Its Fiber Series of XTP System Matrix Switchers

Extron has expanded its XTP Systems lineup with the new XTP II 8K Fiber Series, adding four high-performance products:

These new boards leverage the 50 Gbps backplane of XTP II CrossPoint Series matrix switchers, delivering industry-leading performance and reliability.

The Extron XTP II 8K Fiber Series extends video, audio, bidirectional control, and 1 Gbps Ethernet over fiber optic cable. Each product is HDCP 2.3 compliant and supports HDMI 2.1 features, including data rates up to 40.1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, and HD lossless audio formats.

Extron integrates two key proprietary technologies into the XTP endpoints:

  • EDID Minder, which automatically manages EDID communication between sources and displays.
  • Key Minder, which authenticates and maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output devices.

For optimal image quality, the XTP II CP 4o SF 8K output board incorporates Extron’s Vector 4K scaling engine, which provides best-in-class upscaling and downscaling.

Complete AV Switching and Distribution
Extron XTP Systems deliver an integrated switching and distribution solution for multiple digital and analog formats. They support both local connectivity and extended transmission:

  • Up to 330 feet (100 meters) over shielded CATx cable
  • Up to 10 km (6.21 miles) over fiber optic cable
