Cory Schaeffer Appointed to NSCA Education Foundation Board of Directors

coryschaeffer-0613The NSCA Education Foundation has elected Cory Schaeffer, vice president of sales worldwide at Listen Technologies, to its board of directors as the vice president, serving a three year term.

Schaeffer has been in the professional audio industry for over twenty five years. She is a founder of Listen Technologies Corporation, which manufacturers wireless audio products used in auditory assistance, soundfield, tour group, language interpretation and conferencing applications. In her role, Cory has brought Listen Technologies’ solutions to over 30 countries worldwide.

Schaeffer has served a four-year term on the board of directors for InfoComm International and a two-year term on the ICIF board, which establishes scholarships for people wanting to enter into the professional AV industry. She also serves on the planning board for Women in AV. In 2012 she was recognized as an NSCA Industry Movers & Shakers award winner and was recognized as a finalist in 2012 by the Women’s Tech Council for the Women’s Tech Awards.

Since 1999, the NSCA Education Foundation has created educational opportunities to grow the commercial electronic systems industry. By providing financial assistance through scholarships, student memberships and the creation of an endowment for future scholarship opportunities, the Foundation assists in the developments of an industry career path for students.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the Education Foundation Board’s mission because this is such a fantastic industry and this board is committed to many great initiatives,” stated Schaeffer.
