Steve Emspak has been involved in the audiovisual community since the mid ’60s — first designing, engineering and building portable sound systems, then working for various manufacturers in varying capacities running the gamut from stuffing circuit boards, quality control and R&D through sales and management, in both the audio as well as the video world. Since 1988, Steve has been a partner at Shen Milsom & Wilke, an internationally recognized multidisciplinary consulting firm. Over the years Steve has become well known in the control room market, having led Master Planning and Design Teams for some of the most iconic control rooms in the world. Steve has maintained a level of high visibility within our community over the years, the last 10 of which has been involved in fundraising for the NSCA Education foundation to which his band, The Drunk Unkles have raised about $500,000 for the Foundation. He is constantly in motion, enjoys music and the continual renovation of his retreat on the outskirts of Woodstock N.Y, where he enjoys spending his leisure time with his family and friends; that is when he isn’t parked at his midtown Manhattan office or elsewhere on the planet.
