Waves Debuts eMotion LV1 Control Fader Expansion for LV1 Consoles

LV1 Control

Waves Audio has released eMotion LV1 Control, a fader expansion surface designed to increase tactile control for users of the company’s eMotion LV1 live mixing platform. The unit connects to LV1 systems via a single USB cable and can be used as an add-on for LV1 Classic consoles or as a dedicated fader bank for modular LV1 configurations.

Built on the architecture of the LV1 Classic surface, the LV1 Control expansion includes 17 motorized 100-millimeter faders, 17 encoders and 17 mini-displays with per-channel LCD metering. Engineers can use Touch-and-Turn mapping for on-screen parameters, along with Select, Mute and Solo toggles on every channel. The surface also offers eight layer keys, eight utility keys, a tempo pad and 16+2 user-defined keys for customizable workflows.

Waves said the new control option supports its ongoing development of the LV1 ecosystem, which recently expanded with an 80-channel software upgrade for larger shows. The expansion surface aims to give engineers improved ergonomics and enhanced flexibility when handling more complex productions.

“The LV1 Control expansion is another step in our vision of continually evolving the LV1,” said Noam Raz, general manager of the company’s Live Sound division. “We are committed to having LV1 serve shows, venues and productions of diverse sizes, with diverse workflow and creative needs. This release affirms our dedication to the ongoing development and future growth of the LV1 platform.”

The LV1 Control includes a 12-volt XLR4 lamp connection, an internal 100–240-volt switching power supply and a USB port for system integration. The unit measures 22.1 inches wide by 15.6 inches deep and weighs 14 pounds.
