Vivitek Enters Pico Projector Market with Qumi
Vivitek announced at ISE a new pico projector called Qumi, targeted toward presenters. The LED-based pico projector is native WXGA (1280×800), with a surprising 300-lumen brightness spec and 2500:1 contrast ratio. The projector is also 3D-ready (via DLP Link), and Vivitek says it’s the first pico projector to be so. It weighs 1.4 pounds.
It has a built-in 1-watt speaker, plus USB and MicroSD slots for content and memory expansion. It will be available in May 2011 and the estimated list price in Europe is 599 euros, including VAT.
