TEKVOX Joins OpenAV Cloud Initiative; Sony Legrand, Panasonic, Xyte are Founders
TEKVOX has announced that it has joined OpenAV Cloud, an industry-wide initiative uniting AV manufacturers and technology providers to promote the adoption of open, standardized cloud connectivity and API-driven innovation. OpenAV Cloud aims to create a seamless, interoperable and customer-first AV ecosystem that benefits manufacturers, integrators and end users.
OpenAV Cloud officially launched on May 21 at the AV Cloud Summit Spring Event, a key gathering for AV professionals exploring and leading the industry’s cloud-driven transformation. Founding members include Sony, Panasonic, Legrand, Shure, BrightSign and Xyte. These companies believe that new participants will help accelerate the development of tools, standards and connections that will shape the future of the AV industry.
“We are excited to be part of OpenAV Cloud, whose vision aligns closely with that of TEKVOX,” said TEKVOX CEO Jim Reinhart. “This new initiative provides the framework to meet the needs of today’s AV customers, and we are eager to collaborate with our OpenAV Cloud partners to move ahead in AV’s cloud evolution.”
As the AV industry shifts to the cloud, fragmentation and proprietary ecosystems hinder innovation. Customers demand flexibility, integration and interoperability across brands and platforms. An open, integrated AV ecosystem that connects hardware and software through cloud technologies and open APIs will foster faster innovation, improve customer experiences and create stronger, more flexible business models.
By joining OpenAV Cloud, TEKVOX is committed to developing a cloud platform with open read-and-write APIs to enable smooth and secure integration of its devices, platforms and services. Members will collaborate to establish shared standards for secure data access, system telemetry and cloud-to-cloud integration, allowing products to connect across ecosystems without encountering proprietary barriers. This open approach will unlock possibilities such as remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, smart automation and cross-platform analytics.
“There’s no doubt that OpenAV Cloud members are laying the technical foundation for a stronger, more flexible AV ecosystem,” Reinhart said. “TEKVOX is proud to be part of this initiative that’s leading the way in the future of the AV industry.”
