Tascam has launched the MP-800U DAB, a multi-format media player designed for seamless audio playback in commercial environments such as restaurants, hotels, event spaces and similar PA and sound reinforcement applications. Supporting SD cards, USB drives, Bluetooth (via an optional adapter), USB D/A conversion and a built-in DAB/FM tuner, the MP-800U DAB offers a modern, flexible alternative to CD-based systems.

The unit plays popular audio formats including WAV, MP3 and AAC from front-panel SD and USB ports. It features USB digital-to-analog converter functionality for direct playback from USB-C devices such as laptops and smartphones. Bluetooth connectivity is available with the optional AK-BT2 adapter, enabling wireless streaming from compatible devices.

For professional installations, the MP-800U DAB includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, plus dedicated RCA tuner outputs. Additional features include Auto Cue, Auto Ready, pitch control and Ethernet-based remote control with the optional IF-E100 card, providing enhanced playback flexibility and integration.
