Sony’s Pre-InfoComm-2024 Press and VIP Gathering — Here’s What’s New
There are few things I can count on in this life, but one of them is that I’ll attend Sony‘s pre-InfoComm press event and that I’ll have a great time. This year at Kassi Beach in the Virgin Hotel, Sony hosted a brief talk to the members of the press before continuing into its customer reception at the same location. While last year during this event, Sony took the time to announce a ton of new products, this year looked a little different.
VP of Professional Display Solutions Rich Ventura addressed the group by first talking about how this year, the company wouldn’t be announcing any new products at the event. However, Sony did announce a brand-new consultant advisory board. While we don’t know a lot about this yet, Sony did mention that many of its products and solutions in its InfoComm booth (W2201) came out of the work it has been doing with consultants. Perhaps this will be a bridge between Sony and end users. Perhaps this will really help continue and push forward the work that Sony has been doing to become more sustainable. I’m really excited to learn more about what will come out of this new program.
Speaking of Sony’s booth, I also learned at the event that the company will feature 15 new tech partners in its booth. The company will also feature the products you know and love — the 98-inch 8K BRAVIA. Its CLED series. Its PTZ cameras (which just won a 2024 Readers’ Choice Award). So, yes, folks, keep an eye on Sony. The company definitely has some tricks up its sleeve at this InfoComm.
