Available individually or packaged with four 4” satellite speakers, the hardscape subwoofer expands Partners’ ability to design stellar outdoor audio systems.

Snap One, the place Where Pros Buy Audio, today announced the new Episode Terrain hardscape subwoofer, which offers Partners greater choice and flexibility to deliver earth-shaking bass to outdoor areas where direct burial is not possible or not desired. This latest expansion of the affordable Terrain line makes premium outdoor audio a reality for any area including patios and decks, while adding value to existing systems with greater expansion opportunities.

Available immediately online and through Snap One Local Pro Stores, the new hardscape subwoofer brings the quality and comfort of professional-grade audio to customers’ outdoor living spaces.

“After seeing a significant increase in outdoor audio installations over the last two years, Episode is excited to offer our Partners even greater ability to optimize clients’ outdoor spaces with the new Terrain hardscape subwoofer,” said Matt Kamp, Snap One Senior Director of Product Management. “Our customers treat their outdoor spaces as an extension of the home and demand the same exceptional quality and performance they are used to indoors. Every home and project is different, and our product development and engineering teams are committed to providing premium audio solutions for Partners to suit every clients’ needs.”

Adding to Episode’s Terrain lineup, which also features a direct-burial subwoofer, the new hardscape above-ground subwoofer makes it easier than ever for Snap One Partners to outfit any outdoor area with heart-pumping bass, including decks and patios.

The Terrain hardscape subwoofer (model ES-TERRAIN-HSUB) is an 8” floor-standing subwoofer equipped with an oversized 1.5” dual-voice coil designed to bring outstanding bass performance to outdoor areas where direct burial is inconvenient or unavailable. The rotomolded cabinet is tested to IPx5 weather proofing standards, so it withstands rain, snow and sprinklers to provide year-round enjoyment and long product life.

The Terrain hardscape subwoofer can be powered by a standard multi-channel or 2-channel amplifier and is compatible with third-party amplifiers and satellite speakers, making it simple to add to existing outdoor audio systems. The subwoofer includes mounting holes and comes with a 3-foot wiring tail for secure, weatherproof installation.
