0SHAKOPEE, Minn. — March 12, 2014 — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has announced the availability of a new two-way driver for Autonomic’s popular Mirage Media Servers and Mirage Audio Systems. Developed by Autonomic, the new driver makes it simple for integrators to incorporate both local and streaming audio capabilities into RTI’s cost-effective control systems, providing their clients with powerful control and interactive browsing functionality.
Offered in two-source and six-source versions, Autonomic’s Mirage Media Servers support high-definition local content, such as iTunes and WMP playlists, and the most popular streaming music services, including Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, and more. Cloud-based synchronization ensures that a user’s entire library is with them wherever they go. For a complete audiophile-grade, multi-room audio solution, Autonomic’s Mirage Audio Systems packages a Mirage Media Server with a choice of Mirage Digital Amplifiers. Perfect for small residential systems to large commercial environments, the systems can support up to 96 individual zones of audio.
With the new two-way driver, users have an intuitive control interface that allows them to easily browse and switch between local and streaming content, create custom playlists, and even add new streaming service accounts on the fly. All of these features are further enhanced with the RTI control system, allowing the end user to also select the location they want to play music in, control the volume, and make adjustments to any other electronic systems in the home or commercial facility — all without having to switch user interfaces.
“Control is central to what we do,” said Michael de Nigris, CEO of Autonomic. “RTI’s sophisticated control platform provides us with robust integration capabilities, and we are very pleased with the results that we’ve been able to achieve pairing RTI solutions with Mirage Media Servers.”
“At RTI, our goal is to provide users with a single interface for complete control over all of their electronic systems. We are very excited to have our integration partnership with Autonomic taken to the next level with their development of this robust two-way driver and all of its powerful features,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “By offering seamless integration of Autonomic’s award-winning media solutions into RTI control systems, it’s easier than ever for installers to provide their customers with audiophile-grade digital music and the most satisfying control experience possible.”
The Autonomic driver is compatible with all XP control processors. Using the latest version of RTI’s award-winning Integration Designer® programming software, installers can easily provide their clients with a completely customized, intuitive control experience, in a drag-and-drop programming environment.
