A new EN 54-certified public address and voice alarm (PA/VA) system at Elland Road Stadium in Leeds, England, is powered by a suite of Powersoft amplifier platforms — including 24 units from the mission-critical Ottocanali series — delivering consistent, high-quality sound across one of the UK’s most historic football venues.

UK-based integrator ImPerium Integration led the installation, incorporating Powersoft’s Ottocanali, Unica and Mezzo amplifiers to meet strict European safety standards while ensuring clarity and coverage for both match days and live entertainment events.

Built in 1897 and home to Leeds United FC since 1919, Elland Road’s uneven layout presented a unique challenge. The 37,792-seat stadium’s four distinct stands were retrofitted with a mix of Martin Audio loudspeakers, RCF and Bosch EN 54 ceiling speakers, all powered by the Ottocanali 4K, 8K and 12K models.

Powersoft’s EN 54-certified amplifiers, designed for multi-zone installations, also provide extensive DSP capabilities and integration with Peavey’s MediaMatrix servers for zoning and control. The Unica 4K8 amplifiers were installed in the Pavilion banqueting hall, and a Mezzo 604 amplifier powers AV in the East Stand banqueting area.
