Pakedge Introduces its NP36 Network Patroller Gateway Device at ISE 2014

pakedgePakedge Device & Software is set to cement its position as the leader in cloud-based network-management at ISE 2014 with the introduction of its NP36 Network Patroller. The NP36 provides access to Pakedge’s BakPak app for remote monitoring and management of networks for multiple projects on a single interface. With an NP36 installed at each active project – commercial or residential – installers have an effective tool for viewing network maps, checking device status, performing remote troubleshooting and more.

“It is often a company’s after-sales service that separates one installer from another and with the NP36, we are offering the tools for installers to set themselves apart from the crowd,” says Victor Pak, President and CEO of Pakedge. “If installers have a series of individual projects, perhaps many miles from one another, then accessing the BakPak app via an NP36 will streamline how they access the networks, allowing them to provide a better service to clients and simultaneously ease their workload.”

Designed for integrators looking for an all-in-one management solution for the networks of multiple sites and end-users, Pakedge’s BakPak platform provides full remote access to customers’ networks via an Apple® iPad®, iPhoneTM or Android device or web browser. From there, navigating networks, performing diagnostics and troubleshooting is easy and, crucially, can be achieved from any internet enabled device – hugely beneficially when offering an on-call service to clients.

The NP36 unit is also designed with ease of installation in mind. The unit is a slim, 1U sized device for rack mounting and once connected, the setup process is incredibly simple. Once installed in the rack, the configuration is fully automated. The NP36 unit communicates to the BakPak site via the cloud and the connected network automatically synchs to the installers’ app.

Pakedge devices are all designed to ease the headaches associated with managing multiple networks for clients. With the latest cloud solution, provided by the NP36 and BakPak app, installers now have an essential tool for streamlining their day-to-day network checks and also an effective means of improving crisis management and out-of-hours servicing.
