Octopus Energy, one of the UK’s fastest-growing clean-energy providers, has strengthened its commitment to building environmentally responsible workplaces with the rollout of more than 400 Sony BRAVIA Professional Displays across its offices. The deployment—delivered through long-standing Sony integrator AT&C— aligns with Octopus Energy’s strategy to reduce operational emissions, improve employee communications, and streamline AV management at scale.

As a technology-driven renewable-energy company, Octopus Energy sought a display solution that matched its ambition for efficiency, sustainability, and a premium user experience. The organization required a fleet of displays that could be centrally managed, remotely monitored, and intelligently scheduled to minimize unnecessary energy consumption across multiple sites.

After evaluating market options, Octopus Energy selected Sony Professional Displays, citing superior picture quality, sleek modern design, and highly competitive pricing. The deployment consisted of Sony BZ30J and BZ30L displays in sizes ranging from 32” to 98” used throughout meeting rooms, breakout areas, operational centers, and collaboration spaces.

“Sony offered the right balance of design, performance and value at the scale we needed. The displays look great in our spaces, deliver consistently high picture quality, and were competitively priced for a large, multi-site rollout,” said Paddy Harvey, TechOps – Audio Visual Specialist, Octopus Energy Group.

Driving sustainability through smart display management

A key priority for Octopus Energy was the ability to reduce power usage across its estate without compromising performance. Sony’s energy-saving features—including power scheduling profiles and compatibility with Sony’s Remote Device Management (RDM) platform—enabled Octopus Energy to automate screen activity, diagnose issues remotely, and optimize energy use.

The results were immediate: Octopus Energy now saves more than £90,000 per year across all sites thanks to scheduled power management alone.

These savings directly support the company’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to a low-carbon future. By reducing wasted energy within its own offices, Octopus Energy reinforces its commitment to sustainability both externally and internally.

“Power scheduling and remote management were key for us. Using Sony’s RDM platform, we’ve significantly reduced energy consumption across our offices while also simplifying support. Being able to monitor and diagnose issues remotely has cut downtime and reduced the need for unnecessary site visits.” added Harvey.

Better workplace experiences for a growing workforce

As Octopus Energy continues to scale globally, the need for consistent, high-quality content delivery within its office environments becomes essential. Sony’s BRAVIA Professional Displays provide vibrant, sharp, and reliable visuals for internal communications, live dashboards, marketing content, training materials, and hybrid meeting environments.

The installation delivered by AT&C ensures each office location benefits from centrally managed, consistent AV infrastructure, reducing on-site complexity and enabling Octopus Energy’s teams to collaborate more effectively across borders.

With organizations increasingly responsible for monitoring and reducing their operational carbon footprint, Sony’s eco-conscious engineering—including low-power architectures, intelligent control features, and long-lifespan design—has become a compelling differentiator.

“Octopus Energy’s forward-thinking deployment of Sony Professional Displays showcases how technology can help organizations reduce energy consumption while enhancing employee experience,” said Adam Dover, Senior Trade and Segment Marketing Manager for Sony Europe. “This aligns with Sony’s long-standing Road to Zero initiative.”
