Mimo and WSPER Partner to Deliver Real-Time Visual Emergency Alerts
Mimo, a manufacturer of small touch screen displays and visual alerting solutions, has announced a new integration with WSPER, a provider of physical panic buttons and sensor-triggered emergency alert systems. The partnership enables real-time on-screen emergency notifications across Mimo FlashCast-enabled displays as soon as a WSPER device is activated.
WSPER’s panic buttons and environmental sensors — used in schools, hotels, and retail environments — now communicate directly with Mimo FlashCast through an open API. When triggered, FlashCast displays immediately broadcast custom visual alerts across connected screens, providing clear, visible notifications even in noisy or audio-restricted environments.
“When every second counts, visual communication can make the difference between chaos and a coordinated response,” said Christopher Andry, founder of WSPER. “Our partnership with Mimo creates a vital bridge between physical safety triggers and on-screen awareness — delivering real-time information where it’s needed most.”
Mimo FlashCast is a cloud-based alert overlay system that pushes visual content instantly to HDMI-connected devices, including displays without built-in media players. Through the WSPER integration, organizations can unify their physical and digital safety systems, improving response time and overall situational awareness.
“This collaboration underscores the power of connected safety ecosystems,” said Bob Williams, vice president of sales at Mimo. “WSPER’s panic buttons and sensors paired with Mimo FlashCast devices create an unmatched layer of visibility and immediacy that enhance situational awareness and response times across the board.”
The integration supports applications across multiple verticals. In hotels, staff can trigger discreet panic alerts that immediately display on back-office monitors; in schools, environmental sensors can detect sound or air quality changes and push instant visual warnings to hallway and classroom screens.
The joint solution delivers:
- Instant visual alerts: Messages appear the moment a WSPER device is activated.
- Environmental awareness: Sensors detect issues such as air quality, sound anomalies, and temperature fluctuations.
- Customizable messaging: Alerts can be tailored to match event type and urgency.
- High visibility: FlashCast displays ensure critical messages are seen, not just heard.
The Mimo and WSPER partnership provides a unified alerting framework for education, hospitality, retail and enterprise environments — bringing visual communication to the forefront of building safety strategies.
