Heartland Video Systems, Inc., (HVS) today announced that Alex Hudgins has been appointed as regional sales manager for the Middle Atlantic territory. Hudgins joins HVS with over 15 years of experience in sales and business development, providing efficient responsiveness to the region’s customers. His main responsibilities include working with key accounts and assisting HVS’ president with special projects and analysis.

“Alex joins HVS with substantial history and knowledge of the broadcast TV industry,” said Dennis Klas, president at HVS. “As a familiar face to many of our customers, Alex will help us better respond to their needs by leveraging his years of industry expertise. Add to that his vast experience with business management, and we are excited to see how Alex will help us improve our sales activity coordination and reporting.”

Prior to joining HVS, Hudgins managed the strategic accounts in Videndum Production Solutions’ Midwest and Southeast regions for brands including Vinten, Sachtler, OConnor, Autoscript, Anton Bauer, Litepanels, and Quasar Science. Before then, he served as an account executive for Simpleview, where he reached a 150% sales quota in the first year after the acquisition, increased new business growth by creating a campaign specifically targeting current Simpleview clients, and signed Book Direct’s first European and Latin American clients.

“I’ve enjoyed working with many of HVS’ customers in the past, and I’m beyond thrilled to work with them in this new capacity,” said Hudgins. “As a seasoned sales professional who knows the importance of joining forces with marketing and product development, I’m honored to work for a company that is committed to customizing solutions to fit any broadcast or production need. I look forward to helping our current clients and prospects discover technologies that improve the usability, flexibility, and quality of their workflows.”
