Extron Ships Full DTP3 CrossPoint Matrix Switcher Line for 4K/60 Presentation Systems

Extron has released the complete DTP3 CrossPoint Series, a family of configurable 4K/60 matrix switchers that integrate video switching, audio DSP, Dante networking, power amplification and system control into a single unit. The lineup is designed for presentation environments that require flexible routing, sound reinforcement and centralized control across multiple sources and displays.
The DTP3 CrossPoint models include reversible DTP3 ports, allowing each switcher to be configured for different input and output combinations depending on system requirements. Four sizes are available: the 884 (configurable from 8×12 to 12×8), the 662 (6×8 to 8×6), the 642 (6×6 to 8×4) and the 622 (6×4 to 8×2). All models support 4K/60 video at 4:4:4 and feature Extron’s Vector 4K scaling technology on each output.
Additional capabilities include seamless switching, logo keying and signal extension up to 330 feet over shielded CAT 6A cable. The series is built for large AV systems that require integrated audio and control within a compact 2U or 3U chassis.
“Our DTP CrossPoint lineup has always provided market leading performance, functionality, and value,” said Casey Hall, chief marketing officer for Extron. “The new DTP3 CrossPoint Series builds upon this tradition, taking matrix switching to a new level with added versatility and capabilities. The configurable I/O and scaling on all outputs gives plenty of design options for a wide range of presentation environments.”
Audio features include DSP with acoustic echo cancellation, 32×32 Dante networking and compatibility with Extron ProDSP processing through the EXP port. The built-in 200-watt amplifier now delivers double the power of the previous generation and can drive low-impedance, 70-volt and 100-volt speaker systems. A configurable USB audio interface supports connections to soft codecs and playback devices.
Select DTP3 CrossPoint models also incorporate ShareLink Pro for wired and wireless content sharing from personal devices, and can support applications such as digital signage, active learning and streaming workflows.
