Williams AV Launches Ovation 1880 DECT Amplifier for International Education Markets

Williams AV has expanded its TeachLogic education audio lineup with the launch of the Ovation 1880 DECT amplifier, a model engineered specifically for international regions that operate on the 1.88–1.90 GHz DECT frequency band. The new unit brings the performance and classroom-focused design of the company’s North American Ovation platform to Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East, and select areas of Asia and Africa.
Based on the same architecture as the U.S.-market Ovation DECT amplifier, the Ovation 1880 offers a soundfield audio solution intended to improve speech clarity and support hybrid learning environments. The system integrates a wireless microphone receiver, audio mixer and 50-watt amplifier in a compact chassis that can drive up to four loudspeakers for uniform coverage in primary and secondary school classrooms.
“As demand for modern classroom audio continues to grow worldwide, the Ovation 1880 marks an important milestone in our international expansion,” said Per Persson, vice president of international sales and product management at Williams AV. “By engineering it for international DECT operation, we’re expanding Williams AV’s footprint worldwide and empowering educators with tools that ensure every student can hear, understand and engage in classroom learning.”
The Ovation 1880 includes two DECT wireless microphone channels and four line-level inputs for sources such as computers and mobile devices. It also provides an Assistive Listening System output, along with interfaces for paging, fire alarms and security alerts. For hybrid classrooms, Video Conference Sync with EchoGuard is designed to prevent audio feedback loops during remote instruction or conferencing.
The amplifier is now available through Williams AV’s international distribution partners. Additional product details are provided on the company’s website.
