Epson Announces DC-13 High-Resolution Document Camera for K-12 Classrooms

“Document cameras deliver an additional level of engagement for students in the classroom,” said Veronika Knight, product manager, Projectors, Epson America Inc. “The new DC-13 allows educators to project tangible objects such as math tiles or gemstones, as well as primary source materials like photographs and letters, providing a more immersive learning experience compared to simply projecting images on a computer. The high-definition Epson DC-13 is equipped with the latest technology features, including superior resolution and 16x digital zoom, to enhance lessons and serve as a reliable and flexible teaching tool for K-12 educators.”
The DC-13 brings traditional classroom lessons to life and encourages students to discuss and question details of objects being projected. Educators can take advantage of the 1080p resolution to capture and share HD images with the included microscope adapter, compatible with both Windows® and Mac® computer operating systems. In addition, the DC-13 delivers multiple connectivity options, making high-definition lessons simple to produce, and is equipped with a video-camera that can rotate to function as a web cam, allowing lectures and lessons to be recorded. Audio files, videos, and images captured in the classroom can be easily saved on an SD1 card, and uploaded to class websites or sent via e-mail to parents and teachers looking to reference lessons.
